Sexual addiction develops when a person discovers themselves resorting to increased and/or unusual sexual activities which while not illegal can cause the person problems with intimate relationships, or work-related problems. Some people find themselves viewing internet pornography, often in secret and sometimes at inappropriate times and places. Some people seek sex from inappropriate sources such as internet sex dating sites or prostitutes. As time goes on these activities can become dominant and the pursuit of sexual gratification can become prominent.
